About PU Swimming Pool The swimming pool in Punjab university is one of the oldest pools in the city, but it has been maintained well by the authorities and thus it is still the favourite place amongst the city residents. Also, being a Govt swimming pool in Chandigarh, the fees are nominal and are affordable to everyone. So. Whether you want to take a dip on your own or you want to learn the art of swimming, the university is the best place to go for. Some key facts about PU Swimming Pool It is an international-level swimming pool and is at par with the ones used for Olympic games. All major state-level swimming competitions are held at Chandigarh university swimming pool. The specialty of the pool is that it an all-weather swimming pool in Chandigarh. Minimum three months of membership to be availed. There are two pools in the university, the end of the all-weather swimming pool is 6 meters deep whereas it is 3.5 meters deep at the shallow end. The indoor swimming pool is reserved for competitions only. The pool has five lanes to aid various competitions throughout the year. Kids below 10 years of age are not allowed. The members need to take the fitness certificate from the medical practitioner before joining. Locker room, changing room facility is available.
